Julie’s TEXT-LETTER

Something I’m reading

The Women (Kristin Hannah) has me completely hooked—and I ended up finishing it yesterday and in record time. Fierce, emotional, and impossible to put down. Thanks, Jamie, for the recommendation.

Something I photographed

A high-protein, slow-carb creation made from what I had on hand—black beans, ground chicken with ranch seasoning, and ranchero beans on top. No spend week challenge is in full swing, and it’s sparking some serious creativity in the kitchen. Who knew pantry staples could look (and taste) this good.

Something I’m excited about

School’s almost out, the grill’s heating up, and summer mode is officially loading. Give me the sunshine, the slower mornings, the spontaneous trips, and all the family time. We’ve got birthdays to celebrate (including Abe’s 40th—at a 3-star Michelin spot - stay tuned). Less routine, more memories. Let’s get after it.

Something I recommend

Before you let the world hijack your day (mostly my inbox), write down your top 3 priorities. Do them first—or time-block them like it’s money on your calendar. This one shift takes you from reacting to executing and this habit reduces stress, keeps your focus clear, and gives you that satisfying sense of accomplishment early on.

Personally, I like to use a sticky note or my Microsoft Planner with a special column for my top three to-dos.

Most people stay busy. You’ll stay effective.
